Bodyache began in 2018 as cartharsis in the form of noise mixed with grindcore by Olga Lapin.

This continued with 2021s "Demonstration of Intent" an album made as a celebration of all things noisegrind.

In 2023 with the release of Bodyache's second self titled full length embracing the departure and growth by stripping back the violence and incorporating ambient and drone while exploring emotions of feeling lost and coming to terms with yourself during transitional periods and accepting that you have changed.
